A Message from the Principal

Bowne-Munro is an extraordinary school with a long-standing tradition of excellence and academic achievement. We take pride in providing students with a challenging, engaging, and supportive educational experience that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. Through a comprehensive and rigorous curriculum, delivered by a dedicated team of exceptional educators, students are empowered to grow academically, socially, and emotionally while developing the skills and confidence needed to reach their full potential.

Through our 2026-2027 school theme, One Team, One Dream: Every Player Counts, we celebrate the important role that every member of our school community plays in each child's success. Just as every player contributes to a team's achievements, students, staff, parents, and caregivers each have a meaningful part in helping children learn and grow. We are committed to educating the whole child through a balanced focus on academic excellence and social-emotional development. Throughout the year, students will set personal academic and social-emotional goals, reflect on their progress, and build the habits that support continuous growth. We will reinforce the qualities of respect, responsibility, and resilience, along with the Choose Love Movement principles of courage, gratitude, forgiveness, and compassion in action. By working together as one team with one shared dream, we create a supportive and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

We believe parents and guardians are vital to our school's success. As supporters of the Parent Teacher Association, all caregivers can be partners in the teaching and learning process. Our PTA provides a variety of events both in school and after-school hours that contribute to the fun and enriching elementary school experience. At Bowne-Munro, the combination of students who work hard, teachers who care, and parents who support education provides a powerful blend of structure, programming, resources, and commitment, so that every student can be successful.
